Our library of template actions and inspection points, along with the flexibility to clone and customise templates and build your own from scratch allows you to build your inspections for your fire doors, fire extinguishers, smoke and fire alarms, fire escape access and other fire safety related items. The fire safety module includes our IoT offering to ensure that your fire doors are always closed.

The system is very flexible and can be used for both regulatory inspections by qualified individuals and for your day-to-day inspections to ensure you keep on top of your fire safety duties.

Fire safety regulations are very clearly defined, for example, when and how you should inspect a fire door. Tap n Act by Axsi allows you to schedule those inspections, be alerted when they are due, conduct the inspections and recording the results securely in our cloud based reporting engine.

We attach our RFID tags to the item, and from a simple tap of the tag by your mobile phone the app is launched, the item is identified and the inspection wizard starts, asking the user to complete the inspection, gathering information step-by-step through the process. You can ask your inspector to take photographs, record timings for closures and measurements of gaps.

If the inspector finds an issue with one of the checks they are carrying out, they record that issue within the system, management is alerted and tasks can be set for maintenance teams. When remedial action is carried out, those actions are also recorded into the system, keeping a full history, not only of inspections, but also any issues found and how they have been remedied.

Fire doors only work if they are closed, unless you have systems in place to automatically close them when an incident occurs, they must always remain closed. The temptation of staff is to chock them open, rendering the fire door useless. Out IoT sensor monitors the doors, if they are left open for more than your allowed time, you will get a notification on your phone allowing you to take action to ensure the doors are closed and your staff remain safe.

It IoT sensor also allows you to monitor the ‘traffic’ flow through all of your doors so that you can determine those that maybe high traffic doors requiring more regular inspections.
